A platform for scientific process automation
Steve McCoy, Head of Sales at LabVoice participated in February 2022 in the 5-HT X-linker “Lab of the future” and presented their virtual assistant for laboratory workflows. Co-Founder and CEO of LabVoice, Fred Bost, claims to “enable a self-service, democratized approach to building tailored virtual assistants” with the LabVoice platform. Find out more about LabVoice in the following interview.
Breaking the taboo surrounding cancer with the YES!APP
The non-profit yeswecan!cer gGmbH, founded by cancer patients in 2018, aims to connect cancer patients with the YES!APP. This digital alternative to traditional self-help groups pursues the goal of de-tabooing cancer in general, talking openly about the disease in society, and thus ultimately leaving no one alone.
The laboratory of the future already today - thanks to the X-Linker "Lab of the Future
On Friday morning, February 11, 2022, it was that time again: At 9:15 am, the virtual doors to our 5-HT Eventspace opened. This offered 12 startups, 12 corporates and 400+ guests a platform for networking, exchange and innovation. Themed "Lab of the Future", this first of three X-Linker events in 2022 aimed to drive innovation and strengthen exchange in the development of digital lab solutions.
Digitizing chemical lab work with artificial intelligence
Marko Gacesa, CPO of US-startup Alchemy, participated in February 2022 in the 5-HT X-linker “Lab of the future” and presented their platform that accelerates product development and improves service delivery with software and AI powering the digital lab of the future. He claims to offer the “Ultimate Chemistry Acceleration Platform”. Let’s get to know more.
Digital process tracking in real time
Pixel Robotics' digital process tracking can provide relief both here and in many other industrial sectors, especially logistics. Since its founding in 2017, the Munich-based startup has been offering its customers an innovative solution to recognize and document objects and work processes using artificial intelligence (AI) cameras.
LabForward builds the laboratory of the future
Founded in 2015, Berlin-based startup LabForward's LabOperator platform provides an open IoT platform for integrating all types of devices and software via standard APIs. Together with their workflow solution, processes can be monitored and streamlined, data can be selected on the go, and information can be processed within their established lab ecosystem.
eCovery - the digital physiotherapist for your pocket
Fitness trackers, online diet programmes, sports apps - more and more people are monitoring and motivating themselves digitally. Digitalisation is also making its way into physiotherapy. Conventional physiotherapy is usually not enough to enable patients to fully recover. This approach is also being pursued by the Leipzig-based start-up eCovery. Because the irregular or often missing training of patients at home is one of the biggest disruptive factors of a successful recovery.
Tightening the screws on process monitoring: Continuously possible with Sensorise' digitized micrometers
Micrometers are not a novelty in process monitoring - but the previous standard weakened the screws by requiring drilling into them and only allowed recurring measurements. The startup Sensorise, on the other hand, enables the digitization of machine elements, which allows continuous monitoring - and thus also approaches process optimization. In an interview with 5-HT, CEO and founder Cord Winkelmann talks about the advantages of continuous screw monitoring.
Intelligent and sustainable trade with the help of packaging
"With our Packwise solution, you create a transparency that didn't exist before, and thus a planning security for companies - at any time, it is comprehensible where and in what condition materials are" says Packwise founder Gesche Weger in an interview with 5-HT.
Students meet startups - Final of the Digital Qualifier
For the 5th time, students have worked on practice-relevant tasks from start-ups as part of the Digital Qualifier. On 11 January, the students of the Business Chemistry programme presented their research results of real challenges of the start-ups to Prof. Dr. Stephan Haubold at the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences in Idstein and discussed them afterwards.
Digital solutions as a catalyst for a sustainable healthcare system - eHealth Symposium promotes exchange between representatives from medicine, research, business and politics
Around 300 representatives from medicine, research, business and politics took advantage of the 5th eHealth Symposium Southwest to learn about the rapid developments and innovative solutions with practical relevance in the field of eHealth in exciting presentations.
