Three Questions with 5-HT X-Linker finalist METRON

METRON is all about improving energy efficiency and operating performance to reduce energy costs and carbon footprint. After participating in the 2021 5-HT X-Linker we are catching up with Jérôme Briend from METRON who is a part of the 5-HT Ecosystem. In the interview Briend talks about the reasons METRON is advanced in the field of energy efficiency and carbon footprint.

“Our solution supports industries in building up an energy optimized factory, thanks to a unique combination of technology (Augmented Data & Artificial Intelligence) and human expertise (Energy & Data Science experts). The platform allows you to perform from the simplest tasks (visualization) to the most complex (optimization) regarding the full context of the production site (all influential factors: internal & external). It is a guide for industrials along their Energy Optimization journey to reach objectives and obtain results at all levels of the factory or the group.”

What has changed since we published the Interview with METRON in august of 2020?

“Three months ago, METRON released a new module: ENERGYLAB. This is an integrated workspace module in our existing METRON-EVA® platform, enabling our customers to create their own statistics and AI models.”

2021 5-HT X-Linker: How was your experience?

“The 5-HT X-Linker was an excellent event. I was impressed by the level of maturity of it: very well organized and professional! I was honored and it was a real pleasure to participate. The pitch coaching was really relevant to us and we got great advice on how to improve our pitch. But my favorite part was definitely the corporate speed dating. Overall, the event was a great success for METRON and a great opportunity to pitch our solution to big industrials.”

In your last interview, you talked about expanding in Germany and how 5-HT can help you in this regard. What is the current status with the planned expansion of METRON in Germany and how can 5-HT support you?

“METRON has now several Business Providers in Germany, we are approaching lots of new German accounts. Currently hiring someone German-native to support this development.”
