Design thinking meets industry: students present innovative solutions at the 5-HT Digital Qualifier
As part of the Master's programme in Business Informatics at HWG Ludwigshafen, students under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Martin Selchert took part in the 5-HT Digital Qualifier. This innovation competition gave the students the opportunity to work on practice-relevant tasks from companies and start-ups from the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region and to develop innovative solutions.
The path of healthcare into the digital future - eHealth Symposium 2023 offers new material for discussion
Kaiserslautern. Pandemics, supply chain problems, price explosions - also in 2023, healthcare will be confronted with numerous challenges. How innovative digital solutions can be used to meet them and what current developments and innovations there are to be found in the health sector were discussed again this year at the eHealth Symposium Südwest. The event took place for the 6th time in a row on 25 January 2023 - this time finally outside Zoom and Co at the Business + Innovation Center Kaiserslautern.
Driving future-proof patient care thanks to "Insuring Digital Health"
To everyone's delight, this year our "Insuring Digital Health" event was once again able to take place in Presence on Thursday, September 15, 2022. In order to enable health startups and health insurance companies to network quickly and purposefully and to establish a long-term partnership, this fall the fourth edition of the event was again held with Health in Innovation, an EIT Health company.

Students work on issues of #startups - this time at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg. The teams presented the results they had worked out over the course of a semester to the start-ups and thus provided concrete approaches to solutions for their further development. What do you get when students spend a semester working intensively on concrete, practice-relevant challenges from companies? For the 6th time, students have worked on practice-relevant challenges from start-ups as part of the Digital Qualifier. On 15 June, the students of the Master's programme in Business Information Systems presented their research results on real challenges of companies and start-ups to Prof. Dr. Martin Selchert at the University of Applied Sciences Ludwigshafen and discussed them afterwards.

On Friday, 03 June, we heard "Build crosslinks now!" for the third time this year. Under the slogan "Smart Production", 10 international startups presented their digital solutions for the process industry as part of the 5-HT X-Linker "Smart Production".

The most innovative digital solutions for health and pharma
For the second time this year, we were able to organise a successful X-Linker and thus connect start-ups and corporates with each other. Under the motto "Digital Health for Pharma", 10 international startups presented their digital solutions for the pharmaceutical industry. Pfizer Healthcare Hub called it "probably the most important matching event for startups and pharma companies in Europe" - the event was a complete success!
The laboratory of the future already today - thanks to the X-Linker "Lab of the Future
On Friday morning, February 11, 2022, it was that time again: At 9:15 am, the virtual doors to our 5-HT Eventspace opened. This offered 12 startups, 12 corporates and 400+ guests a platform for networking, exchange and innovation. Themed "Lab of the Future", this first of three X-Linker events in 2022 aimed to drive innovation and strengthen exchange in the development of digital lab solutions.
Students meet startups - Final of the Digital Qualifier
For the 5th time, students have worked on practice-relevant tasks from start-ups as part of the Digital Qualifier. On 11 January, the students of the Business Chemistry programme presented their research results of real challenges of the start-ups to Prof. Dr. Stephan Haubold at the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences in Idstein and discussed them afterwards.
