Tim explains how this system replicates a systemic coach while providing legal certainty in real time.

How would you explain your solution in three sentences to a professional colleague from the health sector?

"Mentalport is the one-stop solution for mental health in companies & takes care of all tasks. Starting with mental health risk assessment, we offer real-time legal certainty & are the only solution to integrate health & safety measures at employee level into our revolutionary AI-based coaching app that replicates a systemic coach. The whole thing is underpinned by human coaches and a web app for the company to strengthen employee retention."

What problem motivated you to start the company?

"The motivation to found the company certainly came from my own experience with mental problems and the realization during my dual studies that around half of students drop out due to mental stress. I have always taken on responsibility and still want to do this at the highest possible level. As I have been deepening my expertise in mental health for more than 13 years now, it is obvious to me where I can start directly. Since day 1, it has been about making mental health suitable for everyday life. We can do this for individuals, but even better for companies. Because we relieve them of all their worries and responsibilities in this area."

How do you convince a pharmaceutical company, a health insurance company or another potential client to set up a pilot project with you?

"We carefully looked for suitable pilot customers with whom we could fine-tune our solution, with very convincing results. For example, we had an average return rate of 81% in the risk assessments, whereby the status quo is already highly satisfactory at 25%. Since we left stealth mode for the first time in October 2023, we have also clearly noticed that we are picking up potential customers directly. The problem area is omnipresent: exorbitant statistics of individual problems, more than 70% quiet quitting and half of all German companies with a lack of legal certainty regarding psychological risk assessment. Here in particular, every health insurance company or almost every company is aware of the complex situation - there is not a single service in Europe that goes beyond the necessary analysis and takes over all the steps - i.e. occupational health and safety measures including documentation. We are the only service that can do this in a digitalized process that requires no effort from companies. Our process is therefore 15x faster and 90% more cost-efficient than the status quo, while at the same time providing legal certainty in real time via our integrated occupational health and safety measures. We also offer analyses & action measures for higher employee retention and our revolutionary coaching app for employees, which is anonymous, suitable for everyday use and individual at the same time. This is how we convince. :)"

Who are your current customer (groups) and who do you want your potential customers to be?

"We are focusing on the German-speaking market and then on the 11 EU countries in which the risk assessment of mental stress is a legal requirement. We are currently realizing that we offer the greatest value for large companies through our centralization and scaling effect on a day-to-day basis. Our target customers are companies that value their employees and live up to this, already with an established OHM. We are still active across all sectors, but have made good progress in logistics, care, automotive production and, above all, software. But of course we are also the right solution for SMEs and smaller companies."

Where do you see yourself in 3 years and how can 5-HT support you?

"With our one-stop-shop approach, we want to establish ourselves as a brand and term for everyday mental health. We want to become the number 1 in the field of mental health, which is what our potential is. We are very much hoping for the support of 5-HT in communication and networking with companies whose problems we can solve effortlessly."
