At the end of the year, NEXT MANNHEIM, together with 5-HT Digital Hub and the Medical Technology Cluster of the City of Mannheim, is organizing the event WE CARE - Innovation for Care, which is specifically designed for startups and small and medium-sized enterprises that want to develop innovation for clinical care and get in touch with different clinics.

The event will take place on November 21, 2023, where 15 carefully selected startups will present their innovative solutions for care in the context of a startup fair. In addition, the five best startup solutions will present to the professional audience. 

Clinic representatives will have the opportunity to speak exclusively with the startups and exchange ideas about implementation options. In addition, the head of the Inspire Living Lab at Mannheim University Medical Center, Hannah Schlott, will give a keynote on the 
Collaboration with Startups in the Hospital Environment. 

The event will take place on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 3:00PM - 8:00PM at CUBEX ONE, Franz-Volhard-Straße 5, 68167 in Mannheim.

This year, NEXT MANNHEIM, together with 5-HT Digital Hub and the Medical Technology Cluster of the City of Mannheim, is awarding a scholarship specifically for startups and small and medium-sized enterprises that develop and implement innovation for clinical care.

In particular, companies that already have close collaborations with clinics in the Rhine-Neckar region or aim to do so in the future should definitely take advantage of this outstanding opportunity.

The fifteen best applicants will be able to present themselves to an expert audience from the hospital environment at a company trade fair on November 21. The best five will be allowed to pitch to a selected jury of hospital representatives and the professional audience - prior pitch training included. The winning team will receive free access to the network and to a rental room in CUBEX 41 or CUBEX ONE worth a total of 7,000 euros for one year.

In the CUBEX ONE and CUBEX 41 centers in particular, the focus is on attracting young companies in the field of medical technology to one of Germany's leading medical technology locations and actively promoting the medical technology ecosystem for startups close to hospitals.

At a unique location that promotes innovation, creates synergies and offers great opportunities due to its immediate proximity to leading clinics.

• Medical technology startups and SMEs whose business content is focused on valuable technologies for the hospital environment in the field of care or their stakeholders  

• Startups and SMEs that would like to locate in Mannheim's CUBEX ONE or CUBEX 41

IMPORTANT: Companies that are currently still in the startup phase must have founded within 3 months to be eligible for the grant. 

The winner will receive premises/office space with a total value of € 7,000 ! 

We and our sponsors will cover a full year's rent for a space in CUBEX ONE or CUBEX 41, leaving more budget for the further development of the business and own ideas.

IMPORTANT: The five nominees will receive a pitch training - the date will be coordinated with the nominees a few weeks before the final event. Participation in the pitch training as well as a physical appearance at the final event with up to 2 representatives on 21.11.2023 are mandatory for participation.
