Revolutionary Solutions for Digital Nutrition Guidance

In an exclusive interview with Victoria Noack, Founder and CEO of DeclareMe, we find out more about their pioneering app and the motivation behind their foundation. As pioneers in digital nutritional support, they are setting standards by offering personalised solutions for individual health goals. The HealthMe app, which has been described as "Google Maps for healthy eating", shows us in an interview how their app offers not only allergy sufferers, people with food intolerances or special diets, but also millions of people with common diseases an easy and convenient way to eat healthily and thus improve their quality of life.

How would you explain your solution in three sentences to a professional colleague from the health sector?

"HealthMe is the GoogleMaps for healthy eating.
Users of the health app achieve their health goals through highly individualized nutrition plans that are tailored to the individual's personal profile, supported by profile-based recipes and the barcode scanner, which ensures that the right products are found during grocery shopping."

What problem motivated you to start the company?

"Around 24 million people suffer from allergies, food intolerances or follow special diets due to dietary restrictions. In addition, there are around 15 million people who suffer from common diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease or obesity. Our aim is to provide these people with a simple and convenient solution that enables them to quickly eat a healthy diet tailored to their personal needs in order to become or remain healthier. Being healthier means a better quality of life for everyone."

How do you convince a pharmaceutical company, a health insurance company or another potential client to set up a pilot project with you?

"The HealthMe health app strengthens the role of health insurers as holistic health service providers. It is a comprehensive addition to the prevention offering, which until now has mostly consisted of sports and mental health services.
The attractive, digital solution for receiving highly personalized recommendations tailored to individual needs can motivate policyholders to change their eating habits and eat healthily. This is particularly true for target groups such as diabetics, cardiovascular patients and obesity patients, who can significantly improve their health through daily nutritional support.
Pharmaceutical companies can increase the effect of their drugs by providing optimal nutritional support and offer their patients unique care.
In addition, a healthy diet is beneficial for everyone, as it is the basis for staying healthy and fit for as long as possible.
There is currently no other solution on the market that offers a similar holistic solution based on highly customizable profiles and extensive food data."

Who are your current customer (groups) and who do you want your potential customers to be?

"We are currently working with health insurance companies, blood test manufacturers and food retailers. We have developed company-specific solutions for these customers.
We are looking for further partners in these target groups. 
In addition, we offer interesting opportunities for the pharmaceutical industry, for companies to support their employees and for health platforms to supplement their range of services."

Where do you see yourself in 3 years and how can 5-HT support you?

"We see ourselves as the new standard in digital nutritional support.
Our solutions allow us to respond to the different needs of different target groups and offer highly individualized solutions.
5-HT can support us significantly by providing the network to their decision-makers."

You participated in the Insuring Digital Health in October 2023. What is your impression of the event and what have you gained (so far) from participating?

"The event was an important door opener for us to enter into a direct exchange with health insurers. We are currently in regular contact with our contacts from the event, deepening our discussions and examining the possibility of collaboration."
