Rhine-Neckar Lab Automation Community | February 2026

Laboratory automation is evolving rapidly, but many of the challenges we face are remarkably similar. Whether it’s robotics, digital workflows, data integration or connected laboratories, the best ideas often emerge when people share their experiences. That´s why the Rhine-Neckar Lab Automation Community was founded in 2026 as a joint initiative by 5-HT, BASF, bioRN Life Science Cluster and BioLabs Heidelberg.

The network brings together researchers, technology providers and industry experts to exchange ideas, discuss challenges and learn from each other in an open and informal setting.

Our founding group of enthusiasts met at the New42 restaurant in Mannheim to kickstart the community, also welcoming friends from neighboring regions.

We are excited to contribute to an open exchange of ideas, experiences and common struggles around lab automation and digitalization and learn from each other in many future iterations.

The community is not strictly limited to the Rhine-Neckar region but is also open to friends from nearby regions (e.g. like Darmstadt, Frankfurt, Mainz, Karlsruhe, Kaiserslautern or Saarbrücken).

If you would like to become part of the community, simply request to join the LinkedIn Community. Each application is reviewed to ensure a valuable exchange between researchers, technology providers and industry professionals.

Once your membership has been approved, you will receive access to the registration links for our meetups and future community activities.

We would like to inform you that you may be filmed and/or photographed at the event and that Digital Hub Rhein-Neckar GmbH and other participants in the livestream may be able to make video and audio recordings of you for documentary purposes during the event. By participating in the event, you declare your consent to the Digital Hub and its representatives that such image and sound recordings may be made of you.
