Insuring Digital Health 2025

Insuring Digital Health is a matchmaking event at which health insurance companies and start-ups will come together on October 8, 2025 to discuss ways of integrating innovative solutions.

Now in its seventh year, the aim of the event is to integrate the innovative solutions of start-ups in the field of digital health into the service portfolio of health insurance companies.

The event with pitches and subsequent speed dating sessions is the ideal setting to present new solutions and get to know the needs of providers in a practical way.

After reviewing your application (and perhaps a short video call with you), the final selection of startups will take place shortly. If you are selected, we will contact you individually before the event and let you know the next steps.

THE meeting place for leading health insurance companies and digital health startups took place again this year. For the 6th time, we brought together innovative players at “Insuring Digital Health” (IDH) to promote needs-based and digital solutions for patients. The event took place at CUBEX ONE in Mannheim.

IDH participants appreciate the open, trusting exchange at eye level in a manageable setting. The trusting and intimate atmosphere that we have built up over the years enables in-depth, honest discussions. It's not just about networking, but about shaping the future of healthcare together. Our startup coaching and careful pre-selection process ensure that we not only create opportunities, but curate meaningful, impactful collaborations.

Christiane Heidrich, Group Head of Managed Care at BIG direkt gesund, summed it up: “Inspiration and motivation, both of which we are taking away from the event. The excellently selected care solutions motivate us to act. We are therefore very much looking forward to deepening discussions and starting new collaborations. Thanks to Lisa Tschalenko and the entire team from 5-HT Chemistry & Health for the great organization and the once again very successful pre-selection. This will remain a fixed date in the BIG direkt gesund calendar. We look forward to the continuation in 2025.”

After the welcome address, Pronova BKK, Mobil Krankenkasse and BIG direkt gesund presented the added value that the event actually offers in practice. The health insurance companies presented their success stories from the IDH 2023 “Best practices and challenges in collaboration with startups” and provided valuable tips for the design of future projects.

Leading health insurance companies such as AOK Baden-Württemberg, Techniker Krankenkasse, BARMER, BIG direkt gesund, GWQ ServicePlus AG, Mobil Krankenkasse, Pronova BKK actively participated in this year's Insuring Digital Health Startup Batch!

VIACTIV Krankenkasse and KKH Kaufmännische Krankenkasse took part for the first time and also contributed to the lively exchange.

Innovative solutions met real healthcare issues!

After the pitching of the fantastic startups BesserEsser | CMD Health (✨Spotlight Newcomer) | eCovery GmbH | Exploris Health AG | LunaLab | Medipee GmbH | nyra health | Belle Health | Prosoma | Skinuvita, first impressions were exchanged and discussions held over lunch.

The subsequent matchmaking and speed dating sessions were followed by one-on-one discussions to explore individual points of contact for further contacts.

Simone Gutsche, Senior Manager Products at VIACTIV Krankenkasse, summed up her first participation in the IDH: “Many thanks again for the great event - it was very exciting!”

Marcel Plastow, Contracts Officer at VIACTIV Krankenkasse: “Thank you very much for the good organization and a great and meaningful event.”

The agenda of the event was varied and offered participants the opportunity to exchange ideas in various formats.

Moritz Schöllauf from NyraHealth added: “Insuring Digital Health is a unique platform for startups to collaborate with health insurance companies and insurers. The great discussion format also ensures strong networking with other start-ups.”

Noel Weinberg from Medipee emphasizes: “Very well organized. Thank you very much! It was really fun to participate in the event with Medipee GmbH.”

This year's Insuring Digital Health was hosted by Lisa Tschalenko, who received a lot of recognition for both moderating the event and organizing it.

Lisa Tschalenko, our Snr. Ecosystem Manager Digital Health, emphasized during her moderation: “The interest of all health insurance companies and the many registrations show that we have really established this event in the last 6 years! We have an intimate exchange here and everyone contributes to its success.”

The event ended with an outlook for the coming year and networking, which gave participants the opportunity to deepen their conversations and explore potential collaborations.

We would also like to thank CUBEX 41, CUBEX ONE for hosting the event in Mannheim. The high number of participants, the positive feedback and the connections made once again confirm the success of the Insuring Digital Health event as an important platform for promoting innovation in the healthcare sector. We are already looking forward to the next edition next year!
