Digital Qualifier - Fresenius University of Applied Sciences

Digital Qualifier - Fresenius University of Applied Sciences

22. September 2020 12:00 - 19. January 2021 17:00 | Digital

Fresenius University of Applied Sciences / Wissensfabrik: Student2Start-up

From mid-September 2020 to mid-January 2021, students of the Business Chemistry program under Prof. Dr. Stephan Haubold at the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences in Idstein will work on real issues of startups and will be supported by experienced mentors from the network of the Knowledge Factory and the Digital Hub. For the first time, the event will take place completely virtually.

Challenge donors this semester will be the following startups:

ARXUM (Kaiserslautern) - is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider for automated execution of cross-company business logic. With its own blockchain-based infrastructure, ARXUM offers its customers access to data silos of different companies in a supplier network without a complex user management to do so.

Fermatics (Singapore) - researches and produces sustainable bioactive molecules through fermentation. Access to high quality feedstock is limited due to complex chemical structures, making it almost impossible to synthesize via conventional chemical routes.

Genie Enterprise (Ludwigshafen) - digitizes human knowledge and perception. For concrete problems with large market potential, the startup develops its own products or building blocks for customized applications.

Process[.-ING] is an independent owner-managed engineering and consulting company with experience from more than 200 projects for the pharmaceutical industry with a project volume of around one billion euros. Process [.-ING] has extensive experience in the development and optimization of processes for the production of biopharmaceuticals and manufacturing of sterile drugs.

Quantum on Demand Technologies (Berlin) - democratizes the use of chemical and pharmaceutical simulation based on quantum simulation and artificial intelligence in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. To achieve this goal, the startup is developing a cloud-based platform that will enable customers to accelerate their product development cycles, shorten the time-to-market of new products and significantly reduce their research and development costs.

We are looking forward to exciting questions and wish the students a lot of fun and success in their work.

The goal is to provide the founders with concrete solutions to their challenges. To this end, the students will work together with both the startups and the mentors. The result can be decision support for strategic questions, support for market entry or sales and marketing strategies.

The exchange between startups, students and mentors benefits everyone involved. Feedback to date has shown that valuable results have been achieved for the founders, the students have gained important experience, and further contacts have been established between startups and students.

At the Kick-off September 22, 2020.

At the final presentation January 19, 2021.
