Laura Diez
On June 13, 2024, the "5-HT X-Linker Special 2024" took place in Mannheim under the motto "Walking healthy paths together". We brought together innovative managers from top-class companies at CUBEX ONE in Mannheim to discuss and present innovative approaches to occupational health management (OHM).
The aim was to exchange views on challenges and opportunities and to explore smart solutions for promoting employee health.
The focus was on innovative concepts from the areas of mental health, screening & prevention and exercise & nutrition.
Highlights of the event
The day began with the arrival of the guests and a welcome from the organizers.
One highlight was the insight into BASF's new integrated medical center. Christoph Oberlinner, Senior Vice President & Chief Medical Officer, presented the concept, which is based on cross-sector care by internal and external healthcare partners. An impressive redefinition of health management!
BASF has taken a new approach as a pioneer in occupational health management and has built a new integrated medical center at its own plant. This is open to the public on the one hand and offers company services exclusively for employees in one building on the other.
Christoph Oberlinner called for a new way of thinking about health and offering cross-sectoral care for internal and external health partners.

Conclusion and outlook
Lisa Tschalenko, who conceived and moderated the event, emphasized: "Today's innovations in occupational health management clearly show how important it is to continuously look ahead and break new ground. Seeing health as the most important asset and working on it together is fundamental. The solutions presented today in the areas of mental health, nutrition & exercise and prevention, as well as the discussion rounds, show how much low-threshold provision is possible. It is now up to the companies to evaluate these and decide which are the right innovative solutions for their employees. After all, only employees who are healthy in the long term can make a decisive contribution to the company's success."
Many thanks to all the speakers, guests and start-ups for their openness and active contribution to employee health. Special thanks also go to Lisa Tschalenko for her wonderful moderation and to Amelie Nigbur and Peter Kuhn for their expert chairing of the discussion rounds. Katharina Klotzbach and Isabell Dahmen from CUBEX ONE also deserve a big thank you for their excellent cooperation.
We are convinced that many of the solutions presented today will soon be used in practice. Numerous ideas and inspirations have been generated, contacts have been made and starting points for further cooperation have been developed.
We look forward to further innovative impulses and an ongoing exchange in the field of occupational health management!
